Long-stay visa for family reunification
You can relocate to Romania from Australia to reunite with your Romanian family if you meet any of these eligibility criteria:

The long-stay visa is available for 90 days. However, it is important to apply for this visa for family reunification and

Long-term residence in Romania
To relocate to Romania from Australia and obtain long-term residency, you must have continuously resided in Romania for the last 5 years. This means you haven't departed from Romania for more than 6 consecutive months, and your total absence does not exceed 10 months in the last 5 years.
Please note that you cannot apply for long-term residence if you fall into categories such as temporary residents for studies, asylum seekers, holders of short-stay visas, or seasonal workers.
The long-term residency permit is available for 10 years for family members of Romanian citizens. For those who are
moving to Romania for
work or other legal purposes, the permit is available for 5 years.
